Preparing packs for external review
External reviewers do not want a tour of every folder. They want a path: risk areas, supporting objects, known limitations, and where judgment was applied. Your job is to make that path obvious inside the app.
Write the walkthrough before the meeting
A one-page sequence—account area, key objects, open items—beats improvisation. Store it as a pinned note in your financial auditing app for audit evidence management so the path survives staff changes.
Surface limitations early
If a population could not be fully tested, say so at the top of the pack, not in a buried comment. Honest limitations reduce surprise findings and show control over the file.
Rehearse the clicks
Have a senior click the walkthrough once without the junior present. Broken links and mistagged objects appear immediately. Fix them before the external clock starts.
Leave a clean desk
Archive superseded drafts. Reviewers who trip over obsolete versions lose trust even when the final support is strong. Clean desks are part of evidence quality.
